A significant portion of my retirement planning includes Dividend Growth Stocks. Here are a few select companies that have recently followed through on their vision of providing increased cash dividends to their shareholders:
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (PNC) operates as a diversified financial services company in the United States. April 3rd the company increased its quarterly dividend 9.1% to $0.48 per share. The dividend is payable April 15, 2014 with an ex-dividend date of April 11, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.2%.
Select Income REIT (SIR) is a real estate company that primarily owns and invests in single tenants, net leased properties. April 3rd the company increased its quarterly dividend 4.3% to $0.48 per share. The dividend is payable May 20, 2014, to stockholders of record on April 14, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 6.2%.
Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP (TEP) acquires, owns, develops, and operates various midstream energy assets in North America. April 1st the company increased its quarterly dividend 3.2% to $0.325 per share. The dividend is payable May 14, 2014 to unitholders of record as of the close of business on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 3.5%.
Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (CALM) engages in producing, grading, packaging, marketing, and distributing shell eggs. April 2nd the company increased its quarterly dividend 63% to $0.591 per share. The dividend is payable May 15, 2014, to shareholders of record on April 30, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 3.8%.
Selecting stocks with increasing dividends is critical for an income growth strategy. The above list contains stocks that recently raised their dividends; it is not a list of recommend buys. As always, due diligence should be performed before buying or selling any stock. For a list of stocks with a long string of consecutive cash dividend increases, see this list.
Full Disclosure: No position in the aforementioned securities. See a list of all my dividend growth holdings here.
