Performance and sustainability - that's what investors in Dividend Growth Stocks are looking for. It's very easy to find stocks with a yields greater than 10%, but how many of those will be able to sustain or grow their dividend over 10, 5 or even 3 years? Also, it doesn't take much effort to find a company that can sustain and grow its dividend because it is only paying a nominal amount (low yield and low payout).

9 Dividend Stocks Working Even When I’m Not
This past week I have been vacationing hundreds of miles from my home. As with most vacations, I have not done much work this week. However, a quick check of my brokerage account shows that my Dividend Growth Stocks have been very busy this week. It is nice to know my income portfolio never takes a day off. What’s even better is the portfolio is frequently getting a raise through higher cash dividend payments.
Here are several select companies that have recently provided their shareholders a raise with increased cash dividends:

The Magnificent Marvelous Money Machine
Like most kids growing up in the late 60's early 70's, I spent my fair share of time reading comic books. I can't remember a lot about what was in them, but I do remember several of the ads. Of course, there was the classic Charles Atlas ad where the beach bully kicked sand on the skinny boy and his girlfriend.

7 Companies Compounding Shareholder's Wealth With Higher Dividends
Compound interest is what occurs when interest previously earned is added to the principle and is considered when calculating future interest – i.e. earning interest on interest. So, what’s more powerful than compound interest? Compound dividends! Compound dividends are like compound interest on steroids – you are not only earning on reinvested dividends, but the dividend rate is increasing.

Harvest the Fruit
The mango is native to Southern and Southeast Asia, but also grows in Central and South America, Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula. Mango trees will settle into a cropping pattern by the third year after planting and reach peak production in six to eight years. Seedling trees take a year longer to come into production. The tree is long-lived with some specimens known to be over 300 years old and still producing fruit.

5 Dividend Stocks With A Low P/B Ratio
A declining market is what value and dividend growth investors long for. There have been times in the past where I struggled to find stocks worthy of purchasing. In a down market, the challenge is to pick the best available stocks that will maximize my chances of future success. When looking for value priced stocks, the Price-To-Book (P/B) ratio is one that I like to focus on.

9 Stocks Delivering Good News With Higher Dividends
A stock dividend, also known as a "scrip dividend", is a dividend payment made with stock instead of cash. Sometimes when companies are tight on cash, they will declare and pay a stock dividend in lieu of a cash dividend. Most shareholders feel like they are getting something. But are they really? In short, a stock dividend is nothing more than a glorified stock split. At the end of the process, the shareholder has more shares that are worth less. Like a stock split, you can not create value by issuing paper and getting nothing in exchange.

Turbo Charge Your Portfolio With Reinvested Dividends
It is well-documented that a significant portion of the historical equity returns are a result of reinvested dividends. In Triumph of the Optimists: 101 Years of Global Investment Returns (2002), the authors looked at equity returns from capital gains and dividends from 1900 to 2000. They determined that performance in any given year was driven by capital appreciation, but long-term returns were largely the result of reinvested dividends. Looking at 101 years of data in the U.S. and U.K., they found that a market-oriented portfolio with dividends reinvested would have generated nearly 85 times the wealth of the same portfolio relying solely on capital gains.

7 Stocks Using Real Cash To Pay Higher Dividends
You can’t spend earnings! At first glance, this seems like an odd statement, possibly even incorrect. However, it is not only correct, but an important axiom for all types of investors. Through fraud and manipulation financial statements can be made to look quite impressive, but the cash that arrives in your brokerage account is real.
An increasing cash dividend keeps pressure on management to ensure the company is well run. If there are too many missteps, eventually the dividend will slip. Here are several stocks where management recently met the challenge by raising their cash dividends:
