It seems that ever so many years the market turns down and someone declares the death of buy-and-hold. Some even go as far to say that Warren Buffett has lost his touch. With time on their side, the buy-and-hold investors and Mr. Buffett always seem to make a spectacular rebound. As long-term dividend investors our focus should be on acquiring fundamentally sound dividend growth stocks at a reasonable valuation and maintaining our asset allocation.
This week several companies provided their shareholders positive feedback with increased cash dividends:
Bank OZK (OZK) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.8% to $0.27 per share. The dividend is payable Apr. 20, 2020 to stockholders of record on Apr. 13, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Apr. 10, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 6.5%.
Lindsay (LNN) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.2% to $0.32 per share. The dividend is payable May 29, 2020 to stockholders of record on May 15, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of May 14, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 1.5%.
Watsco (WSO) recently increased its quarterly dividend 11% to $1.775 per share. The dividend is payable Apr. 30, 2020 to stockholders of record on Apr. 15, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Apr. 14, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 4.5%.
H.B. Fuller (FUL) recently increased its quarterly dividend 1.6% to $0.1625 per share. The dividend is payable Apr. 30, 2020 to stockholders of record on Apr. 16, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Apr. 15, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 2.5%.
